Microsoft has announced their new Surface Thunderbolt 4 dock for their Surface series of laptops.
Today Microsoft has announced their Surface Thunderbolt 4 dock further increasing the versatility of their Surface range of laptops by allowing for various devices and accessories to be connected through just one single fast connection. Doing this allows for a tidier and more efficient workspace through the use of a singular cable.
Designed to be used with the Surface range of laptops this thunderbolt dock connects through USB-C and features several ports to connect to your devices. The dock is capable of connecting 2 4K 60Hz monitors, transferring data up to speeds of 40 Gbps and charge your device with up to 96W power delivery. In total, the dock features three USB-C ports, three USB-A ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port and a security lock slot.
The Thunderbolt 4 Dock provides plenty of IT efficiency features to the average customer including Firmware Update through Windows Update, Wake on LAN from Modern Standby, and MAC Address Passthrough. Surface Enterprise Management Mode (SEMM) easily locks down the ports of your dock in mission-critical environments and restricts functionality to specific devices. You can learn more about these features on the Microsoft IT Pro blog.
Microsoft in creating the Surface Dock has made use of plenty of recycled materials. The dock and power supply unit enclosures make use of 20% more ocean-bound plastic than previous docks and the packaging is 99% recyclable and free of single-use plastics.
The Surface Pro Thunderbolt 4 dock is available now from Microsoft.com as well as Microsoft’s range of other surface Dock products.
