Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet claims that Microsoft will unveil higher capacity versions of its second generation Surface Pro tablets. Microsoft will unveil the second generation of Surface tablets on September 23rd but these won’t be available to buy until October 22nd.
The Surface Pro 2 is stealing the show of Microsoft’s second generation and apparently Microsoft will offer 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB versions of the second generation Surface Pro. Apparently the pricing for these will be $899, $999, $1299 and $1699 respectively.
The Surface Pro 2 isn’t fully detailed yet but we do know it will run a fourth generation “Haswell” Core Series processor from Intel allowing it to reach 7 hours battery life instead of the 4-5 on the current generation Surface Pro.

I always felt the 1st gen tablets were way too pricey and it seems like the next gen does nothing to alleviate the traumatic effect on the back pocket but I digress, I don’t need or want a Windows Surface tablet anyway.
Maybe because those tablets are ultrabook components in tablet form?
