On Monday, Microsoft launched two new features that should appease neglected Xbox 360 owners. Most notable is giving Xbox Live Gold users the ability to grab free Xbox One games through their 360. So, any users who are intending to upgrade, but feel like they’re missing out on the monthly gift of a free game, can opt into a game now and download it once they purchase an Xbox One console.
The other release is an Xbox 360 preview program, which, according to Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, “will work much like the Xbox One preview.” The program is available to “select invitees” and will include connectivity tests to deal with “common network issues”.
