Even though it may not be the most popular amongst gamers, Microsoft’s Flight Simulator does have quite a fan base. Microsoft Game Studios had been talking about it for a while now and a new version is starting its beta next month.
For the occasion the game has even seen a refresh in the name, dumping the Simulator to be called “Microsoft Flight”.
While the trailer doesn’t really give a taste of what’s coming, and to be honest, it’s not the kind of trailer that would get me excited, I am curious, however, to see what Microsoft is going to do with this new settlement.
The change in name certainly seems as though they are trying a more ‘modern’ approach, so to speak, I wonder, and I’m sure I’m not the only one, to see what Microsoft Game Studios are going to do with it seeing the large amount of technologies that has recently seen the light and others that will soon do the same. Could they be one of the few looking to implement scaling for eight-core CPUs?
To get access to the upcoming beta, you will be required to sign up with multiple tiers of Microsoft online service, which most gamers already have the half of anyway.
As for the final release date, it hasn’t been announced yet.
