Although Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo IV (Diablo 4) should be set for release at some point next year, in terms of specifics, they haven’t decided to go beyond this point just yet. – Earlier this year, however, information did appear suggesting that Diablo IV might’ve been set to land at some point in April.
Was it accurate though? – Well, following a Twitter post from reliable leak source ‘@ALumia_Italia‘, it seems possibly not as Diablo IV may actually be set to land in June. And more so, thanks to an apparent leak on the Microsoft Xbox Store, it seems we may now know the exact date it will happen!
Following a data mine on the Microsoft Xbox Store, new references have been discovered strongly suggesting that Diablo IV is set to officially release on June 5th, or June 6th depending on your region/timezone. – Now, this may, of course, just be a placeholder pending full and final confirmation from Blizzard.
The fact that this information has only recently appeared, however, does seem to strong hint that this is both accurate, and, presuming there are no delays, the exact date we can expect Diablo IV to release. – It even goes as far as to confirm that, at least on the Xbox, the game will require around 80GB of storage space!
Given the overall ups and downs that Blizzard has seen with their recent releases, there is something of a feeling (if, more accurately, a concern) that Diablo IV might end up being a bit of a disappointment. I mean, is Blizzard capable of making great games anymore while avoiding the pitfalls of predatory microtransactions? Well, Overwatch 2 was ok I guess, so maybe.
Let’s be honest though, for as much as you might be looking forward to this, you’re probably equally nervous that Blizzard may have contrived to find a way to ruin it. Either way though, it seems we’ll (probably) be finding out which way this has gone on June 5th.
