Microsoft Surface Studio is Already Out of Stock

During Microsoft’s hotly-anticipated October 26th event, the company unveiled the Surface Studio which is a sleek all-in-one PC designed for creative professionals. More specifically, the Surface Studio provides users with the tools to work on a powerful digital canvas which should appeal to artists and graphic designers. Clearly, this is Microsoft’s attempt to encourage the power users within artistic fields to move from the Mac platform. Over the past decade, Apple has neglected this audience and failed to provide consistent updates for the Mac Pro and iMac. Personally, I think the Surface Studio looks like a premium piece of hardware which reminds me of the time when Apple unveiled more innovative designs.
The Surface Studio is far from cheap though and starts from a whopping $2999 and goes all the way up to $4199. Despite this, the initial stock has already sold out which means none of the units can be pre-ordered at the time of writing. Not only that, it appears the models won’t be sent out until January, although this may be different for those who managed to get in early and secure the first allocation. It’s a shame because some people might have wanted to order one for Christmas and this now cannot be done. Hopefully, Microsoft will continue to build future units on a larger scale to prevent shortages.
