Microsoft Paint is a convenient tool for quickly cropping a photo or making a bad featured image for an article as all in all it isn’t very good at much else, except for painting a massive rod and setting it to full screen on your mate’s computer in College. Paint will soon be getting a feature that will improve its usefulness in the form of a background removal tool.
As reported by BleepingComputer, Windows 11 Insiders are getting access to a new version of Microsoft Paint which introduces the ‘Remove Background’ feature. The feature allows for a subject to be isolated and then have the background removed and in the shared example of the Windows 11 default wallpaper, it does a good job of doing so.
It’s good to see Microsoft adding new things to paint despite the cancelled plans to kill it off back in 2017. Being able to have a quick tool for removing the background of an image can be very useful for those that can’t be bothered with installing other software for something they only need once in a while.
