Microsoft To Make Recent Surface Price Cuts Permanent For Every Region

We’ve already seen Microsoft go a bit crazy with cutting prices in big markets like Europe, North America and the UK but now they are planning to make these cuts permanent and to spread them to all markets. ZDNet reports that Microsoft wants to make recent price cuts a permanent thing for the Surface tablet range and it also wants to expand it to markets that are yet to see the promotion.
“The customer response to recent Surface pricing and keyboard-cover promotions has been exciting to see, and we are proud to begin rollout of Surface Pro, Touch Cover and Surface RT bundles at even more affordable prices starting August 29.”
From August 29th then we can expect all markets across the world to be able to access these discounts and they mean that the Surface Pro model will start from $799 and the Surface RT bundles start from $399. Additionally Touch covers come with a discount and now start at $79. Microsoft is hoping that these price cuts will be able to inject some life into their Surface sales figures which today have been well below expectations.
