Since Minecraft launched on Xbox 360 the game has been more popular than ever. In the UK Minecraft once again tops the video game charts according to Gamespress. Minecraft’s Xbox 360 edition is comfortably ahead at the top of the charts followed by Fifa 13, the Smurfs 2, Tales of Xillia and a variety of other games. You can see the full chart listing below:
Nintendo even has a couple of highly placed games up there with Animal Crossing New Leaf and Mario and Luigi Dream Team Brothers, despite them complaining that video game piracy is killing their sales. Minecraft has managed to hold off big name titles like the Last of Us, Fifa 13, Tomb Raider and Call of Duty Black Ops II.
With a number of big new game releases lined up, such as Saints Row 4, Splinter Cell Blacklist and many more, it is expected that Minecraft’s Xbox 360 Edition won’t stay on top for much longer.
