Minecraft Passes 12 Million Unit Sales On PC

Minecraft has been a huge hit on the PC. The Indie world-building game has now managed to sell a staggering 12 million copies on Windows, Mac and Linux according to Markus “Notch” Persson. Apparently the game managed to rack up 1 million sales between July and September, as back in July 11 million unit sales were announced.

With Minecraft currently selling for $26.95 a copy on Mac, Windows and Linux it isn’t surprising the game has “Notched” up $323,400,000 in revenue according to TechSpot.

You can of course check the latest sales statistics up on the website which clearly indicates over 12 million sales. With such a rapid sales rate Minecraft is surely within realistic grasp of being the best selling PC game of all time. Minecraft has revealed it will bring the game to the new Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms after the game’s huge success on the Xbox 360.
