Minecraft is coming to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, we already know that much. We also know that on PS4 Minecraft will be running at 1080p and a Microsoft Studios game developer has confirmed that the same will be the case for the Xbox One, there will be no upscaling or reduced resolution for Xbox One users. Minecraft on Xbox One and PS4 will bring upgraded graphics, increased view distances and just general performance improvements over the current Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Minecraft looks set to be one of the titles where the differences between the two new consoles are not that apparent. However, Minecraft is hardly a graphically intensive game: we have already seen graphically intensive games like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Metal Gear Solid 5 bring reduced versions to Xbox One compared to the PS4. The console wars continue but for this round at least it’s another tie.
