Minecraft’s Oceans Gets Massive Overhaul with Update Aquatic

Team Mojang has revealed more details about the upcoming Update Aquatic for Minecraft during Minecon. Like the Super Duper graphics pack, the Update Aquatic is a massive overhaul for the game. However, it does not just involve graphical upgrades, it includes additional content as well.
Update Aquatic Features
The Update Aquatic will be improving the water physics, making it more immersive and even includes water bubbles. To make underwater exploration even more realistic (at least in terms of Minecraft reality), there will also be additional new elements such as corals and shipwrecks. Even aquatic life such as dolphins and fishes. YouTuber xisumavoid has footage from Minecon demonstrating some of these.
Users are also getting a new weapon in the form of a trident. They can hurl this to opponents or use it in melee combat. Moreover, it is also enchantable for additional tactical advantage.
Minecraft on Nintendo Switch Delayed
In addition to the Update Aquatic and Super Duper pack announcements, Minecraft is also announcing the delay of the Nintendo Switch release. Just like the two updates, Nintendo users would have to wait until 2018 for its release. The good news however, is that Xbox One, PC, mobile and Nintendo Switch gamers will enjoy cross-platform multiplayer.
