Mining Edition Cards from Sapphire Now Available for Pre-Order

Cryptocurrency Mining Edition cards are popping-up everywhere, and Sapphire is the latest to join with their own line. Several new mining edition cards without a display connector just showed up on Overclockers.co.uk for pre-order. Obviously, they lack the display connector ports since it is not needed for cryptocurrency mining. Four of the five listed for pre-order use an RX 470 GPU while one uses an RX 560 GPU.

The RX 560 Pulse Mining Edition version is different from the rest not just because of the shroud design, but because it actually has a DVI port. How do we know this is not just a placeholder image? Simple, the regular Sapphire RX 560 Pulse video card has an HDMI and a DisplayPort with the DVI. Otherwise, This low power 60W card expects to provide between 12-15MH/s with its 1300MHz boost clock and 1750MHz 4GB GDDR5 memory. It has a single 90mm sleeve-bearing fan with 12 blades for keeping the GPU cool.

Mining Edition Pricing Information

Other than the RX 560, Sapphire provides four versions of the RX 470 Mining Edition since they differentiate between those with Samsung GDDR5. Models using these Samsung ICs cost £10 more than the SKHynix version, whether it is the 8GB or 4GB variant. The Samsung version is projected to generate 25 to 28MH/s, while the SKHynix version generates between 24 to 27MH/s. Obviously, the clock speeds are adjustable so more performance is possible.
