MINISFORUM has today announced their new Venus UM790Pro and UM780Pro mini-pcs powered by the latest Ryzen 7040HS series chips.
These new mini PCs are the first to be based upon the AMD Ryzen 7040HS Phoenix series chips with the UM790Pro and UM780Pro being powered by the Ryzen 9 7940HS and The Ryzen 7 7840HS respectively. Both of these chips are capable of exceeding speeds of 5 GHz and are paired up with integrated Radeon 780M graphics. Alongside these processors is dual-channel DDR5 5600Mhz memory as well as dual PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs.
Keeping the hardware cool is MINISFORUMS’ new Cold Wave 2.0 cooling system for improved heat dissipation against previous generations. This cooling system allows for not only the CPU to be cooled but also the memory and high-speed storage options to remain at optimal temperatures.
Both of these new Mini-PCs share the same ports with two USB4 Type-C ports on the front alongside the power, clear CMOS and an audio jack. On the rear is the DC 19V input with dual HDMI 2.1, an RJ45 2.5G port and four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports. The PC also features a Killer Series wireless network card for optimised wireless network configuration and reduced latency.
