MINISFORUM Has annunced the release of its latest mini PC, the Uranus B550 PRO, an upgraded version of the previous B550 model.
This mini PC from MINISFORUM is able to be fully transformed into a full-sized gaming desktop when connected to an SFX power supply and a discrete graphics card and offers a versatile compact computing experience. The B550 Pro, as per its name, makes use of the B550 chipset supporting a Ryzen 5000 series CPU up to a 5800X making it perfectly capable for handling daily office tasks as well as high-end gaming.
The standout feature of the B550 Pro is it’s versatility and ability to be transformed from a compact office machine to a fully-fledged gaming desktop through the use of the PCIe 3.0 X16 interface on the chassis and on the included expansion dock. Users can place the B550 Pro within a larger case which features an SFX power supply which can fully power the unit as well as a discrete graphics card. On top of this versatility is the upgradability of the main unit which can be easily opened up to replace the RAM and Storage and possibly the CPU though that hasn’t been mentioned by MINISFORUM.
The B550 Pro features plenty of connectivity with the option of DisplayPort, HDMI or USB Type-C for display output and the Type-C is also capable of power output and data transfer. The device features 6 USB 3.2 ports as well as a single USB 2.0 underneath the 2.5GB RJ45 LAN port. The device also features an audio jack as well as DC 12V for powering the unit without the SFX power supply.
MINISFORUM invites users to stay tuned for the official release of the B550 PRO, which promises to provide an innovative and powerful solution for both personal and professional needs.
