MINISFORUM are known for their compact mini-pcs but someone has thought, “Hmm, maybe we can go smaller.” Today the company has launched its new Mercury EM680 Ultra-Mini Desktop PC.
The MINISFORUM EM680 Ultra-Mini PC has a volume of just 1/4 litre and measures 80x80x43 (LxWxH) and weighs just 238g. This device can be easily placed anywhere including in a handbag or even a jeans pocket which is impressive considering the image shows a Woman’s jeans pocket and we all know how small they are. I don’t think I’ve ever thought about placing my computer in my pocket but whatever floats your boat, oh and it can also be placed on a desk, just to clarify.
This tiny PC is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U 8-core processor perfectly capable of handling everyday office tasks and even some light gaming with its 680M IGPU offering an impressive iGPU gaming experience. Paired up with this processor is up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory at 6400MHz as well as up to 1TB of M.2 storage with the capability to go up to 2TB. This hardware is kept cool by the Cold Wave 2.0 cooling system which features “liquid” cooling and an active SSD heat sink.
The EM680 is equipped with a rich I/O including 3x USB A ports, 1x HDMI port, 1 T F card slot and 1x 3.5 mm headphone jack. Additionally, there are two full-speed USB4 ports which support PD power. The PC doesn’t feature any RJ45 ports but it is equipped with onboard WiFi 6E support and BlueTooth 5.3.
The MINISFORUM EM680 is available now from store.minisforum.com with prices starting from $499 with a current discount to $399
