Mionix Naos QG Biometric Gaming Mouse Review

A Closer Look

The Mionix Naos QG comes hard-wired with a very nice quality braided cable, as well as a gold-plated USB header.

The braiding is very nice indeed, and it comes with a grey finish that has a nice premium quality look to it.

The mouse also comes with a lovely grey finish, and that’s a welcome change from the often black peripherals we usually see.

The QG has a very curvy design, which means it is only going to be suitable for right-hand use, but at least if you’re a right-hander, it’s going to be a lot more comfortable. Down the left side, there are two switches, as well as a small lip at the bottom, which provides a comfortable grip and rest for your thumb.

Down the right side, some large bumps and folds that create natural resting positions for your fingers. The shape of the mouse is certainly more focused towards a palm rest play style. It still grips pretty well for claw grip, but a raised palm means you’ll not be using those built-in sensors on the back, so keep that in mind.

The ergonomics are certainly interesting, it almost looks like the mouse has been left out in the sun too long and it has melted. That being said, it looks great and it fits like a glove even for my long fingers. Right up in the middle, you’ll find two more control switches, ideal for DPI adjustment, but they are fully programmable too. The scroll wheel is heavily recessed, and has a super soft rubber grip that makes it very easy to control, with the added bonus that it’s also clickable, but what mouse wheel isn’t these days?

Overall, this is a great looking mouse, and the grey finish on that soft-touch rubber grip coating gives it a premium quality look and feel that is sure to stand up to extensive use with ease.

On the base, you’ll find four slip mats, they’re quite small, but the mouse is quite light and the base is otherwise smooth too, so it glides really well even on thicker cloth surfaces.
