MLB The Show 25 Launches on March 18; Skips Game Pass and PS4

Sony has officially announced the release date for MLB The Show 25, marking a shift from previous years. The game will launch on March 18 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, but it will not be available on Game Pass or PS4. The decision to exclude Sony’s previous-generation console and Microsoft’s subscription service has not been explained by the company.
There is speculation that the game may also be released on the Nintendo Switch 2, but official confirmation is pending. Nintendo is expected to reveal details about the new console during its Nintendo Direct event on April 2.
Features and Pre-Order Bonuses

MLB The Show 25 marks the 20th anniversary of the series and introduces various improvements and new features. For the first time in franchise history, the cover will feature three athletes: Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and Gunnar Henderson.
Among the notable updates, the game will bring advancements to the Road to the Show mode, enhancing career progression and control. The Diamond Destiny mode will also undergo changes, likely addressing criticisms from MLB The Show 24. Additionally, improvements will be made to the Franchise mode and general gameplay mechanics.
Players who pre-order MLB The Show 25 will receive early access, allowing them to start playing on March 14, four days before the official launch.
