MLG Pro Xbox 360 Controller Review
While the controller its self did take a little getting used to, with every little detail about it being either slightly or greatly different from a standard Xbox pad, it was really about finding that right balance of components and getting a feel for what works best for you, in the end I went for a full weight setup, matt finish body as it had better grip, dome left analogue stick, concave right analogue stick and the 4 point D-Pad, after I was happy with the setup, my K/D ratio in online FPS games definitely saw a boost, ok I may have just been having a good couple of days on the games, but there was no doubt I had better control over it all, as well as improved comfort while playing, I just wish my regular controller that I’ve spent so many long years getting to know didn’t feel like a cheap toy in comparison, I may never truly be able to go back it in the same way.
So if your looking to sharpen you skills, want some extra style to your controller or even just improve your comfort while gaming then the MLG controller is perfect for you, with so many features that make it right for any type of gaming, single player, multi player, regardless of you being a pro gamer or not.
Overall I highly recommend this product, which is why I’ve given it our gamers choice award, after all, it was chosen by gamers. While the price does seem high, its high for a reason, with the overall number of setup combinations, extra, replaceable and customisable components, tough durability and high quality overall, it’s actually very good value for money, you may never need to buy another controller again, unless of your you fell the need to buy a matching pair.
I swear I read a review that said this "Pro" pad had no vibration, and the D-pad had trouble detecting more than one direction at one time. Those are some deal breaking issues for a pad that you gave a Gamer's Choice Award to. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Hi Joe, I had no issues with the controller what so ever, it comes with two D-pad and while one was rubbish, akin to the current Xbox one, the 2nd is more like the PS3 d-pad and was fantastic and a huge improvement over the standard xbox controller, it also most certainly does have rumble, don't know who told you that 🙂
Sorry for the slow reply though, I forget to check the comments sometimes

nope this all lies this controller is brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
About the rumble: The PS3-version of the MLG does not have rumble, nor six-axis control.
The XBOX-360 version does have rumble, only slightly less than the original MS controller does.
