Mod for Monster Hunter Wilds Allows Character Customization for Free
Just like previous games in the series, a mod has been released for the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds that lets players bypass the much-criticized system of paid vouchers for customizing their characters’ appearance.
A Mod That Saves Money

For those unfamiliar, after creating a character through the game’s editor, players can modify certain cosmetic features, like hairstyle, face paint, and a few other elements. However, more significant changes, such as skin color, body shape, and eye or nose shapes, require the use of a character modification voucher. The first voucher is free, but subsequent vouchers cost $6.99 for a bundle of three. This system also applies to modifying the player’s Felyne companion.
The mod created by Ridog8 is simple but very effective. It provides unlimited character and Felyne modification tokens, which means players can adjust all their avatar’s appearance as many times as they want, without needing to buy Capcom’s expensive bundles. In other news, Steam just hit a new record with over 40.2 million people online at the same time, according to SteamDB. Out of that, 12.8 million were playing games. This keeps happening as more people join Steam, and it’s possible that the popularity of Monster Hunter Wilds helped push these numbers even higher.
