VR has brought in a whole new world into the gaming industry with many games to choose from including new and unique titles alongside existing titles getting the VR treatment. Today a modder has released a mod for the original Far Cry that allows you to play it in VR with full hand motion controls.
Far Cry VR is a mod created by the Flat2VR team who have previously created VR mods for several other games including Hogwarts Legacy. This mod features full room-scale 6DOF VR rendering and movement, full motion controller support, two-handed gun handling, immersive binocular and weapon scope handling, manual ladder climbing, controller vibration and bHaptic vest support and much more. This is one hell of a mod that showcases Far Cry in an entirely new light. I’d also hazard a guess that the leaking of the original Far Cry source code a few months ago had some involvement in the creation of this mod.
This mod is available at farcryvr.de and is completely free and compatible with the Steam and GOG.com releases of Far Cry 1 which are available for £8.59.
