COD Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Update FINALLY Looks to Fix its Awful Interface!

While I think Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, on the whole, is an excellent game, there are still more than a few problems which, quite frankly, I had hoped would’ve been long solved by now. – While I’m not going to go too deep down that rabbit hole (because how long have you got?) one of the most consistently complained about issues ever since its release from the community has undoubtedly been the overall menu and general user interface it has.
Put simply, it’s terrible. And no, not just for PC gamers either. Even many console players (if not the vast majority) agree that the menu system within Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is awful. – In this regard, however, there might finally be some good news.
Following the publication of a new blog post for the upcoming Season Two release, Activision has confirmed that the menu system within Modern Warfare 2 is getting a much-needed, and bloody long overdue, overhaul!
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 to Finally Address its Awful Menu!
As part of the official blog post, while Activision has spoken about a number of new features and tweaks its players can expect from the upcoming Season 2 update, without a doubt one of the biggest slices of fantastic news is that the user interface is getting, well, hopefully fixed with the following changes:
- Improved navigation and organisation of camo menu
- More polished social tab, including improved channel swapping and player muting
- New “My Bundles” screen
- Quick equip items from Battlepass, My Bundles, and Store
- Reticle previews in Store and Gunsmith
- Improved clarity of attachment blocking logic in Gunsmith
- And many more bug fixes
Will it solve the problem? Well, while we certainly can’t guarantee it, and while I stand to be easily proven wrong, it’s not as if it can get any worse, is it?… – I’m definitely keeping my fingers crossed for this one though. Quite frankly, just for this alone, Season 2 can’t come quick enough!
