The creator of Minecraft and founder of Mojang Specifications, Markus “Notch” Persson, has announced his latest project.
The game is in early development and not a lot is known, though it has been dubbed “hard sci-fi” by Notch, and will be titled 0x10c.
The official website reveals that the game is set in the year 281 474 976 712 644 AD, with civilisation waking up to a world on the brink of extinction, and a galaxy dominated by black holes.
The site also lists the features which Notch hopes to include in 0x10c, including engineering, mining, trading and looting, an advanced economy system, a fully working computer system and… duct tape.
Notch explains on the site that although the game is in its early stages, he plans to release it early and let players help shape the game, in much the same way as he did with Minecraft.
