I’m looking forward to quite a few games this year, and without a doubt, Monster Hunter Stories is one of them! With the game heading to Steam in just a couple of months, Capcom has just revealed the PC hardware you’ll need to play it!

Thankfully, the requirements are pretty modest, this isn’t going to be an overly demanding game. But something like a Core i5-3470 or AMD FX-6300 should be enough for the minimum, and that’s basically to say any good quality quad-core of the last decade should be enough. However, stepping up to the recommended settings, the CPU requirements don’t really go up that much, just an i5-4460 or FX-9300 with 8GB of RAM, which I’m sure most of our readers exceed well enough.

What is weird, is they only give requirements for 30FPS, and it would be nice to see them include something for 60 FPS and higher settings. However, with the requirements being as low as they are, I don’t think many people will have issues getting to Full HD 60 with this one.

For graphics cards, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 560 will do, and interestingly, they recommend the same GPU for both minimum and recommended. I guess any budget modern GPU of the last four years would be fine for 60 FPS then, such as the RTX 2060 or RX 5600 XT should more than exceed that.

The game launches on Steam on June 14th.

If you don’t have enough performance to run the game at your selected graphic quality, you must go to Options > Graphics and decrease the resolution or adjust the quality setting.
