Monster Hunter World Is Already a Great Hit

Monster Hunter World is doing great despite its PC delay.

We already know that the PC version of CAPCOM’s Monster Hunter World will arrive at a later date. However, the game’s release on consoles in January was greeted with open arms by the community. According to CAPCOM, the game has already sold six million units thus becoming the company’s first game to achieve such a feat. Consequently, the cumulative franchise sales have now reached over 46 million units. It shouldn’t surprise anyone, then, that CAPCOM has great plans for Monster Hunter in the future.

“Beginning in the spring of 2018 Capcom plans to hold qualifying events in seven areas across Japan leading up to the Monster Hunter: World Kariou Playoffs, which will determine the top hunter in the country. What’s more, Capcom will roll out further cross-industry initiatives to increase long-term brand value and capture an even wider fan base, such as with a Hollywood film adaptation of the series and the Monster Hunter: The Real attraction currently running at Universal Studios Japan.”

Whats’s so special about this game anyway?

This action role-playing game tasks you with killing or trapping monsters that roam its environments. While the task sounds simple enough, completing it successfully is quite fun and rewarding. In Fall 2018, PC gamers will also be able to enjoy this experience. It’s safe to say that the game’s sales will increase even more at that point. Unfortunately, there are no plans to release the game on Nintendo Switch at the time of writing.
