Montech Air Cooler 210 Air CPU Cooler Review

Performance
Despite perhaps representing itself as something of a cost-effective, high-performance cooling solution (two things that rarely go together) the Montech Air Cooler 210 provided some exceptionally impressive results in our testing. – At stock levels, while the CPU temperatures were not the lowest we have ever seen, you do have to consider that this is being compared against some exceptionally potent (and in many cases large AIO) cooling solutions. However, when you take a closer look at the numbers, you come to understand just how good the Montech Air Cooler 210 really is. It’s only a couple of degrees from being one of the best products we have ever tested, but at this level, those are the remits that separate the great from the fantastic.
Speaking of fantastic though, the Montech Air Cooler 210, both at stock and overclocked levels, provide you with some excellent low levels of acoustic output. While the fan in itself didn’t look overly impressive, it did an excellent job at keeping the temperatures down and also giving some barely audible levels of noise output. – With this in mind, and looking at the relatively higher temperatures seen in our overclocking test, I think that if you were to have a fiddle with the PWM fan settings in the BIOS, a truly awesome compromise could be found here.
