During the COMPUTEX 2024, the manufacturer MONTECH presented several new products, among which were some mechanical keyboards. One of these is the MKey Pro, which is now available for purchase. This keyboard has pre-lubricated Gateron G Pro 3.0 mechanical switches, a 75% size, and a dial that you can use to adjust the volume, zoom, and even the RGB lighting.
The new MONTECH MKey Pro keyboard is available today in two color combinations called Freedom, which features a blue-gray and white color scheme, and Darkness, which offers a mix of burgundy and gray. The keyboard will officially launch on November 11, 2024, and is priced at $89.90 USD, no matter which combination of color and switches you choose. You can select between Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow or Brown switches to suit your typing style.
The MKey Pro offers Tri-Mode connectivity, allowing you to seamlessly switch between Bluetooth 5.2, 2.4 GHz wireless, and USB-C wired options. Additionally, a magnetic cover on the keyboard stores the USB dongle, ensuring it is always secure and easily accessible.
Its features include a gasket-mounted design with Poron padding, which cushions keystrokes for quieter typing and absorbs vibrations, delivering a premium tactile and acoustic experience. Although you can choose the switches, they can also be hot-swapped and are compatible with 3- and 5-pin switches so you can replace them as you wish. The keycaps are made of PBT for greater durability and resistance and with an OEM profile for more comfortable typing.
It has a battery that can last up to 310 hours when the lighting is off and up to 100,000 hours when in standby mode. The patent-pending lighting ring at the base of the knob indicates the active mode, such as Blue and White Comet for volume control, Red and White Comet for zoom mode, and Colorful ARGB for lighting control.
To help you manage all your options, this keyboard is compatible with VIA/QMK software, which lets you control lighting, create macros, and reassign keys.
