A Closer Look at the Camera and Hub
It is time for a closer inspection of the hub and camera. We’ll take them one at a time, but there isn’t alot to see with such a simple device. Most things are handled by software.
The Hub
The top of the hub features a connection button. The ring around it doubles as a status LED when you pair it with a camera.
The bottom has four small feet as well as an indent for a screw. This allows you to hang it on a wall, out of the way.
The rear side, which will face downwards if you hang it, is where all the connectors are. There’s a USB port to charge your camera with, a LAN port for the connection to your router, and a power port.
The Camera
The camera is about the same size as the hub. Both fit in your palm, allowing for discrete placements.
The bottom features a bit of information along with the sync button. Around the sync button is a rubber cover which will reveal the charging port when opened.
The front features the camera lens along with the PIR motion detection and IR LEDs.
The rear side features a groove for the magnectic mount, but there’s also a screw mount. However, the latter requires third-party mounting tools. Next to the screw mount, we see a couple holes which allow for the 2-way communication.
The sides don’t have any features as such, but there is a large print with the name. Well, large is relative as the camera is quite small.
