More iOS 5 features from the Beta announced

Although having already being jailbroken before release, Apple are still showing off its’ new iOS5features at shows such as the WWDC (Apple Developer’s conference). The new OS has been heavily tested since people have been given the chance to take it for a spin, and there’s nothing but great BETA impressions floating over the web.

One of the key features that are really making the new OS stand out is arguably the Facetime calls experience over 3g. This may be a BETA only feature, but it’s good to see Apple testing the water and seeing what their software is capable of.

AirPlay mirroring has been tried and testing, allowed users to stream content from their iPad 2 via AppleTV via a compatible HDTV.

As well as streaming content to your TV, iOS users will be allowed to stream 1080p video between other iOS 5 devices, which allows for speculation that future devices will be able to play content at full 1080p. For any of you users with some Bluetooth speakers, you will also now be able to stream artist and album details over Bluetooth.

Engadget had a chance to take one of the builds for a quick test run, and a more in depth review of each feature can be found here.
