More Performance Improvements For Intel Arc In Latest Drivers
Jakob Aylesbury / 9 months ago
Intel is still working hard to provide updates to its GPUs and once again the latest driver update has provided a plethora of performance improvements for a wide selection of games and provided game-on driver support for two.
Intel Arc Drivers 101.5333
Starting with Game-On Driver support, Last Epoch is a top down dungeon crawling RPG that released on the 21st of February, this game is now supported by Intel’s drivers. Sea of Thieves recently received an update for DX12 support and these latest drivers ensure that Arc GPUs are ready to take on the seas.
Going onto game performance, most of these improvements come at 1080p and Medium settings across several DX11 games. Some of the biggest improvements include Assassin’s Creed Syndicate which sees up to a 65% performance uplift, It Takes Two with a 24% average uplift, and Sid Meier’s Civilization VI with an average 27% uplift.
All of these performance improvements lead me to hope that Intel’s second generation Battlemage GPUs will launch considerably smoother than Alchemist and we’ll begin to see some great competition mostly with AMD and in the budget to mid range market.
