Morrowind Rebirth Gets 39th Major Update
Peter Donnell / 8 years ago
Morrowind may have launched all the way back in 2002, but that hasn’t stopped the extremely dedicated PC modding community from keeping it feeling loved. The Morrowind Rebirth mod has just released the 39th major update since the project was started five years ago, and is the fourth major update for this year. You would think that after all this time there wouldn’t be much left to change, but you would be wrong.
The mod isn’t just your usual graphics overhaul, this is a huge scale conversion mod, which improves a huge amount of aspects of the game, including adding all new questlines, locations, enemies and music. In this update alone, you’ll find the Fort Ashmoth dungeon, an overhauling of the Dunmer Stronghold of Valenvaryon, and much more.
“Explore the island of Vvardenfell as you never have before, with a world built anew to be both alien and familiar to the Morrowind you knew before. New adventures await, with new exciting areas to see and explore, and new artifacts just waiting to be discovered. This is a complete overhaul for Morrowind, adding countless new details, weapons, armors and much more for you to see and do. Experience the world of Morrowind in a new light, try out Morrowind Rebirth today!”
Given that this game launched so many years ago, the scale of this mod and the impressive work they’ve already done, it’s easy to see why Morrowind Rebirth is up for the “Mod of the Year” award on modDB!
You can download the mod and check out the rather extensive changelog for version 39 right here. We can’t wait to see what they come up with in version 40, or if they’ll soon turn their attention towards Oblivion Rebirth!
