Morrowind for Skyrim Mod ‘Skywind’ Gets New Trailer

It’s been a long time coming, but it’s great to see that development of this mod is still making progress. Skywind is a huge effort to port the entire world and game of Morrowind into the Skyrim game engine. That means hugely improved graphics, increased mod support, a greatly improved interface and so much more. Obviously, this is a huge undertaking, so it’s been a few years since we first heard of Skywind.

A new trailer has been released for the game, which is great, as it was back in March last year that we saw the Revive trailer, and August that we saw the Rekindle trailer released. Today, however, we get the new Envision trailer and as you might have guessed, it’s pretty awesome. Check out the new trailer below.

As you saw in the trailer, the graphics are making great progress for this mod, making full use of the hugely improved lighting engine in Skyrim. For those of you who have played the original Morrowind, you’ll have noticed some very familiar landscapes too, albeit ones that have never looked so good.

How these people can continue this work and not have been snapped up by Bethesda is simply incredible, but hopefully this mod will continue to get developed, get the attention it deserves and more, because it may be the biggest and best Skyrim mod ever created.

Not a fan of Morrowind? Don’t worry, these another mod that’s equally amazing, as they work to port Oblivion into Skyrim’s engine. Naturally the naming system is just as obvious and you can get more information on Skyblivion right here.

What’s your favourite Elder Scrolls game so far? Are you looking forward to playing these mods or would you rather stick with the original games as they were first created? Let us know in the comments section below.
