Mortal Kombat 1 is Consuming Your Hard Drives
James Cusworth / 1 year ago
Mortal Kombat 1 is one of the most infamous fighting games ever and is still making headlines 30 years after the first Mortal Kombat came out, albeit but not in a good way this time. Players have been reporting that every crash takes up outrageous amounts of space on their hard drive with people reporting up to 1GB for each crash report and some players claiming up to 70GB of space has been used up so far!
This poor guy had 41GB of this.
When Mortal Kombat 1 crashes, and it will, because it is a triple-A game and that’s par for the course these days, but when it does it will create a folder and a group of files containing data about the crash. It does this every time and as you can imagine this will add up FAST!
The credit for finding this bug goes to a Twitter/X user ‘X-Azeez’ who was told by another user ‘Divine Hat’
Everytime MK1 crashes on PC, it creates a report automatically, and stores 1GB of space for each report LOL.
