CES 2016: New formats come and go, but MQA is quickly gaining in popularity in the industry. The new audio tech was demonstrated using the HTC One M9, which showed the Master Quality Authenticated format as a proof of concept here at CES.
The sound quality is certainly amazing, but it’s something that has to be heard to really appreciate. Of course, we’re not the only ones that agree, as 7digital, HQM, Onkyo, Tidal and more are looking to push the MQA tech to the public throughout 2016.
The tech delivers an end to end process, allowing master quality audio from one end that comes in a file size small enough for streaming or downloading.
We’re eager to see what comes from this tech and for more people to hear what it has to offer. Stay tuned, because 2016 may be the year for a big change in high-end formats!
