MSI has rolled out two new high-end gaming graphics cards here at Computex 2017. The first is their gorgeous GeForce GTX 1080 ti DUKE 11GB (above). The card features a new shroud design, which houses their popular Frozr cooler. Specifically, this one uses the TriFrozr cooler design, with propeller blades, Super Pipe technology, and Zero Frozr. Basically, lots of fans, lots of massive heat pipes and a Zero RPM fan mode. It’ll also employ their Military Class 4 Components.
No word on specs, but expect competitive factory overclocks right out of the box.
Now this looks awesome. The new MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z is one of their fastest cards to date. It features a new shroud design with Mystic Lights (RGB basically). TORX FAN 2.0, Military Class 4 hardware and more.
As you can see from the product sheet, this is a real beast. The card has three modes of operation. Silent mode for those quiet nights, Gaming Mode for pushing the best frame rates, and Lightning Mode, which is likely best suited to scoring quick hit benchmarks than long term gaming usage… I guess you could, but it may run a little louder too.
No word on pricing, but it’s not rocket science. They’ll be expensive, but I would expect them to be competitive to other flagship GTX 1080 Ti’s on the market.
Would you buy either of these cards? What do you think of the new shroud design? Let us know what you think of them in the comments section!
