MSI 27″ 300 Hz Rapid IPS Mini LED Monitor Revealed

MSI is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-end gaming hardware. When it comes to PC gaming, they have some amazing graphics cards, motherboards, and even PC cases. However, in recent years, they’ve also been pushing some of the most kick-ass gaming monitors on the market. Their new model looks set to continue that trend too! The new gaming monitor is the MSI MEG 271Q Mini LED, and it comes equipped with features like NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE technology, and their patented mini LED backlight control. MSI say this is the first-ever mini LED monitor made for E-sports.

MSI MEG 271Q Mini LED

The MSI MEG 271Q Mini LED uses the latest rapid IPS panel technology and features a WQHD resolution. However, what’s most impressive is the ultra-fast 1ms GtG response time and 300 Hz refresh rate. Obviously, that’s bound to appeal to the eSports and enthusiast gamers most of all. However, I’m equally excited about the 500 zones local dimming, which should ensure you get stunning contrast and HDR performance. Having deeper blacks and still keeping brightness on details can really give you a competitive edge, but also make the screen more pleasant to use.

What MSI Had to Say

“It’s a beast for competitive gamers and the E-sports scene. Experience extremely smooth and tear-free gameplay with built-in NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE technology. Patented Mini LED backlight control technology gives you a stunning gaming experience and incredible contrast by over 500 zones local dimming areas. Always improving, MSI will keep on challenging itself in the design of gaming monitors, and ensure that you are always ahead of your opponents.” – MSI

G-SYNC ULTIMATE dynamically matches the refresh rate of the display to the frame rate of the GPU so you can take on any game without tearing, stuttering, flicker, or artefacts. However, keep in mind that pushing a 2560 x 1440 panel to 300 Hz will take some serious GPU horsepower. However, the panel will support the full range from 0Hz to 300Hz.

“NVIDIA G-SYNC Displays with Reflex feature the world’s only system latency analyzer. With the MEG 271Q Mini LED monitor, start every match with confidence, knowing your PC is operating at the lowest possible system latency.” – MSI

Price and Availability

Unfortunate, we don’t the price or release date just yet. However, I’m sure the answers are a lot more than you would like and sooner than you think.
