Yesterday saw the embargo lift on the performance figures for the RTX 4070 Ti Super graphics cards in which we reviewed both the Gigabyte Gaming OC & Inno3D Twin X2 models which turned out to be a bit underwhelming. However the results weren’t as underwhelming as MSI’s Ventus 3X model which has been seeing some performance issues that are being addressed by a BIOS update.
MSI Addresses Poor Ventus 3X Performance
MSI shared today that their RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16G Ventus 3X graphics card was not delivering its full potential. PCGamer when testing the card saw a 5% loss compared to other reference spec cards which was dropped to 3% in an updated BIOS provided before the review embargo lifted.
A new BIOS version 95.03.45.50.F0 has been released for the Ventus 3X which has been freshly fine tuned to meet the performance expectations of the card. Alongside the update MSI took the opportunity to update the BIOS on its full line of RTX 4070 Ti SUPER graphics cards.
