MSI have released their “MSI A75A-GD55” motherboard. The board is based off AMD’s FM1 socket which is for the current Fusion Accelerated Processing Units (APUs). It also features the A75 chipset which as you may already know features native USB 3.0, SATA III 6GB/s and e-SATA support. The board has a lot of unique MSI-only features on it such as OC Genie II which allows for instant one button overclocking or the Military Class II components which offer better reliability and improved component quality.
The board comes with a PCI-E 16X lane and another PCI-E 4X (16X physical) lane. So hybrid crossfire between the APU and a discrete card is supported on this board. There is also an abundance of other connectivity such as a legacy PCI, three PCI-E 1X slots, Two rear USB 3.0, one front panel USB 3.0 header, Six SATA 6GB/s ports and support for RAM modules up to 1600MHz. The BIOS is also a click-UEFI version and iCharger technology through the USB ports is also supported to allow for faster charging of USB devices. MSI have yet to release official pricing but expect that to come soon as the motherboard will be available to order probably from next week on Monday.
