Somedays the leaks just come out all at once that you help but think they are coordinated in some way. After ASUS and Sapphire had their RX 500 series graphics cards leaked, MSI is the latest to be exposed. Unlike their fellow AMD partners, only two cards were listed, the RX 570 and RX 580, with the RX 500 missing in action. These two models are the RX 580 GAMING X and 570 GAMING X.
As the top of the line GAMING X models, they come with a hefty price tag of €506.99 for the RX 580 and €410.19 for the RX 570 inc. VAT. This is among the highest prices we’ve seen yet for the RX 500 refresh which is expected to be updated RX 400 cards with higher clocks and minor tweaks to the boards. Of course, these prices might just be placeholders and launch prices are often lowered by a decent margin.
More interesting news is that fact that they are both expected to become available on Monday April 10th in less than a week. From other reports, AMD is supposed to launch the new RX 500 series on the 18th a week later. Perhaps AMD may be doing a joint launch with the Ryzen 5 series which will become officially available on the April 11th. This suggests pre-orders may begin on the 10th but cards won’t arrive till a week later on the 18th. Either way, we’ll find out in just under a week.
