MSI announced two new gaming mice that offer customisation on top of great specifications: The Clutch GM70 and Clutch GM60. Both mice focus on ergonomic design and feature replaceable side grips and top cover. Create a mouse that fits your hand, not the designers. A good mouse fit for your hand will make all the difference in the long gaming sessions, both stats and health wise.
Nothing is complete these days without RGB lighting. Both the Clutch GM70 and Clutch GM60 feature MSI’s RGB Mystic Light. With it, you can use the MSI Mystic Light software to choose from millions of colours and a number of effects. The Light Sync function can also allow you to synchronise it with the rest of your RGB components without hassle.
There isn’t a lot of difference between the two new MSI mice, but there are some. The Clutch GM70 features wired and wireless connections. You can either connect it with the included 2m braided cable with gold-plated USB 2.0 connector or use the USB dongle for a wireless mode.
The sensor is a PMW 3360 optical gaming sensor with a default DPI setting of 1000, 1800, 2800, 3600, and maximum of 18000. The switches are Omron GAMING switches rated for 50 million clicks and the GM70 features 10 buttons. The overall weight is 129 grammes.
The GM60 is a little different, starting with the sensor. It features a PMW 3330 optical gaming sensor, but the same DPI options. The switches are Omron GAMING switches too, but you only get 8 buttons on this mouse. Two less than on the GM70. This one is a little lighter too with just 115g. After all, less hardware means less weight.
Both of the two new mice in the Clutch series feature 8 programmable buttons. They configurations of these buttons is done through the MSI Gaming Center software. An ALPS Encoder scroll wheel provides smooth and accurate movement, whether you want to cycle your weapons inventory or you’re working.
This mouse is built with high-quality materials to ensure a reliable gaming experience. The main buttons are equipped with OMRON gaming switches, which are rated for over 50-million clicks for an almost inexhaustible amount of headshots, spell casting or simply double-clicking.
The top cover and side grips can be swapped with ease thanks to a magnetic design while a dragon-scale pattern on the sides provides additional grip.
The brand new MSI Clutch GM70 and Clutch GM60 GAMING mice are expected to be in stores worldwide starting July 2017. MSI didn’t reveal a price at this point.
