MSI announces its G55 FM1 motherboard

MSI today has showcased its new motherboard that will be of the A75 chip set and the FM1 socket. The “A75MA-G55” motherboard will showcase MSI’s Military Class II components for ultra high reliability and durability. In addition to this it will offer USB 3.0 and SATA III 6GB/s ports.
The board has MSI’s Hi-c CAP, Super Ferrite Choke and Solid capacitors to help improve the lifespan of the motherboard. The board has optimised support for the new DX11 fusion graphics processors which are onboard the new FM1 processors, but it also has support for discrete video cards with two PCI-E lanes.
The “Click-BIOS” or UEFI bios is also present and the ability to boot from drives larger than 2.2TB also exists. MSI also showcase the “i-Charger” technology where you can rapidly charge up your iPad, iPhone or other apple devices simply by installing the provided “i-Charger” software.
MSI also provided a table to showcase the potential gaming performance of the board with a fusion APU. No words on pricing yet.
