AIDA64 Extreme Edition is a streamlined Windows diagnostic and benchmarking software for home users. We all know by now that Z77 has better performance over X79 in terms of memory bandwidth, but we can still see how things compare across a variety of X79 boards. The Big Bang falls within the middle of the other X79 based motherboards and with the help of increasing the processor’s clock speed, we find the memory bandwidth increase over the read, write and copy speeds, yet still doesn’t quite reach the same levels of the Z77 based boards.
