MSI is a global leader in the technology sector and has a huge repertoire of products including graphics cards, motherboards, gaming laptops and coolers. Over the years, they’ve expanded into different product areas and this doesn’t look like slowing down anytime soon. The MSI Gaming Core Frozr L CPU cooler was recently unveiled and sports the iconic MSI Gaming Dragon logo. Additionally, the cooler employs an aluminium fin stack which is angled upwards at an offset position. This allows offers better flexibility when selecting memory modules with lavish heatspreader designs. The MSI Gaming Core Frozr L CPU cooler measures 140 mm x 155 mm x 84 mm and weighs 960 grammes.
On another note, the cooler utilises four 8mm nickel-plated copper heatpipes which transfer heat from the base. Additionally, the top section has a colour metal strip held on with four screws. This should be removable and can be painted with PlastiDip or something similar. The bundled Torq-X fan operates between 500-1800 RPM and provides a 19.79-71.27 CFM air flow rating. This is achieved while maintaining a noise output of 17.2-33.6 dBA. Apparently, the MSI Gaming Core Frozr L CPU cooler can contend with thermal loads up to 200-watts and supports all the major sockets such as LGA2011v3, LGA115x, LGA1366, AM3(+) and FM2(+).
