SPECviewperf12
SPECviewperf 12, released by SPEC’s Graphics Performance Characterization group (SPECgpc) on December 18, 2013, is an all-new version of the worldwide standard for measuring graphics performance based on professional applications. SPECgpc members at the time of release include AMD, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Intel, Lenovo, NEC and NVIDIA. SPECviewperf 12 measures the 3D graphics performance of systems running under the OpenGL and Direct X application programming interfaces. The benchmark’s test files, called viewsets, represent graphics content and behavior from actual applications.
The benchmark is made up of eight viewsets, each with a number of different rendering tasks. At the end of the benchmark a composite performance figure is displayed for each set of rendering tasks. The eight viewsets can be found at the bottom of this page after the performance results
With this being a new benchmark to the group of tests that I run, there are no additional test results to be used from ourselves. Instead I’ve compared the results above to the test data from both AMD and NVIDIA reference GPUs of the same generation (FirePro and Quadro). The resulting analysis show that the K2100M in this system is not too bad in this area of testing with performance figures that are roughly 20% lower than a reference Quadro K2000 and FireProW5000 from AMD.
