Starting things off by looking at the packaging, we can see that MSI have plumped for quite a simple box with some moderate branding on the front. We’re told that the card has unlocked digital power and supports the latest PCI-Express 3.0 standards.
The reason the box has little to no information on the front, is down to the information behind hidden inside. The front of the box works as a flap which opens up to reveal a lot of detail on the main MSI features and components used including Copper MOSFETs, and Golden Solid State Chokes. It also tells us how the GPU reactor works and the gains we should see from it.
Also by opening the flap up, more information is available on the cooling side of things, as this card incorporates the Twin Frozr IV cooling solution. This particular cooling includes SuperPipe technology, dual 10cm PWM fans and dust removal technology.
Moving around to the rear of the card, we find the main features listed as well as the minimum system requirements to run this card in your system.
Taking a look at the contents inside, we find a user manual, certificate of quality and stability, quick user guide and driver installation CD.
Also included is an extended SLI bridge, DVI to VGA adapter, three V-Check voltage point connectors and two 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-Express power connector cables.
