Computex 2014: The new MSI H97M Eco motherboard has one thing in mind, efficiency. Seen running here the board is pulling less power from the wall that a standard lamp, and MSI has taken every step they can to make sure you’re wasting as little power as possible when running your rig.
One of the most interesting aspects of this board is the general asthetic of it, a white PCB really stands out and while we like the Eco aspect, we really want to see this PCB on higher end boards.
The board comes with Eco Center Pro software, which allows you to dial in how efficient you need it to be, much like the power saving settings you’ll find on most notebooks.
Those wanting efficiency, but a lower price point and less features can opt for the brown coloured B85M Eco, not as pretty looking as the other model, but it will certainly get the job done.
