MSI Introduces Half-Height GTX 1050 2GT LP Video Card

Not every gamer is into the biggest and the baddest. Some just want a video card that fits and that is where MSI’s GeForce GTX 1050 2GT LP comes in. For users hampered with pre-built systems that are slimmer than a mid-tower case, the choice can be very limited when it comes to what video card can be installed. The MSI GeForce GTX 1050 2GT LP on the other hand is only half the width of a regular video card, measuring only 182 x 69 x 35mm so it can be installed even on systems with extremely tight clearances. It also comes with a half-height bracket plus a regular size bracket so it can be installed readily on other systems.

Aside from the obvious facts that it has a GTX 1050 GPU and 2GB of GDDR5 memory, the GTX 1050 2GT LP also comes with a core clock of 1354MHz with boost up to 1455MHz. Display output includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and a DL-DVI-D port.

In terms of cooling, it comes with a dual fan design to actively cool the aluminum heatsink on top of the PCB. Just because it is small, MSI did not skimp out on components either, stamping it with their Military Class 4 approval, utilizing solid capacitors and low-ESR components. As with all MSI graphics cards, it is compatible with MSI Afterburner and can be tweaked and overclocked even further. MSI Afterburner also allows users to set custom fan profiles or simply monitor their graphics card’s health and performance.
