Alongside AMD servers, MSI showcased its NVIDIA MGX AI servers and Intel Xeon 6 solutions featuring DC-MHS modular architecture at the Supercomputing 2024 (SC24) event from November 19-21 at booth 3655. These servers are designed to address the growing demands of Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing (HPC). They offer scalability, enabling data centers to expand their capabilities as power requirements increase.
The MSI NVIDIA MGX server is purpose-built for Artificial Intelligence workloads. The MSI CG480-S5063 model is built on the MGX architecture and powered by dual Intel Xeon 6 processors. It features 8 FHFL slots for dual-slot GPUs, compatible with NVIDIA H200 NVL GPUs to handle massive parallel processing for AI, LLM, and data analytics workloads.
The server is equipped with 32 DDR5 DIMM memory slots, 20 PCIe 5.0 E1.S bays for storage, and PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for high-speed networking expansion. With its 4U form factor, this server is ideally suited for demanding AI applications and tasks.
MSI has also introduced flexible servers with Intel Xeon 6 processors. The MSI CD270-S3061-X2 is a 2-node, 2U server for HPC. It comes with one Intel Xeon 6 with up to 350W TDP and 16 DDR5 slots. It also has 6 PCIe 5.0 x4 slots for U.2 disks per node. Another server is the MSI CX270-S5062, a 2U server designed for performance. Its dual socket with Intel Xeon 6 allows the addition of 32 DDR5 memory modules and up to 24 PCIe 5.0 x4 U.2 disks.
It also has dual GPU options ideal for AI calculations. The MSI CX271-S3066 2U server also includes an Intel Xeon with up to 350W TDP, along with 24 PCIe 5.0 x4 U.2 disk slots and 16 DDR5 memory slots.
MSI has also introduced M-FLW and M-DNO server motherboards powered by Intel Xeon 6 processors:
