MSI Launches GeForce RTX 4070 Cards

MSI Has revealed their Geforce RTX 4070 cards and have kept it simple with just 2 Designs.

The RTX 4070 is now available with an MSRP of $599, it features an AD104-250 chip with 5888 CUDA cores at a base clock of 1920 and a boost of 2475. The card features 12GB of GDDR6X on a 192-bit bus providing a bandwidth of 504 GB/s and a TDP of 200W. Our full review of the card can be read here. As with every GPU release, we also get various cards from other AIBs in various designs with different cooling capabilities so let’s have a look at what’s on the market from MSI

MSI Gaming TRIO RTX 4070

First up is MSI’s iconic GAMING Trio cooler with a refreshing, yet familiar look. The Gaming Trio features the updated TORX Fan 5.0 design with three fan blades which are bound with an outer link forming a rim to focus the airflow. The Gaming TRIO features the same proven nickel-plated copper baseplate and up to 6 core pipes at the core of the heatsink dissipate the heat effectively. The card also features MSI Mystic Light supprt for the RGB that adorns the exterior of the card. The design isn’t too in your face though it’s definitely not one of my favourites when it comes to GPU coolers.

MSI Ventus RTX 4070

The second and third 4070 from MSI is the Ventus 3x and 2x which is MSI’s price to performance approach to GPUs. The ventus maintains the no-frills spartan design philosophy with its robust cooling system fitted with 2 or 3 TORX 4.0 fans. The card is fit with a reinforced backplate to help prevent sag and provide a sturdier card. As a boring git, I much prefer this design over the Gaming TRIO, it isn’t too dull with its rounded silver frame and it isn’t too in your face either with RGB.

Just 3 cards from MSI and keeping it simple. These cards will be available from April 13th starting from $599.
