MSI Launches Massive GTX 1080 Lineup

MSI has been running a tight ship lately in terms of leaks. Ahead of the GTX 1080 launch, we pretty much had no idea what they were going to reveal. Today, we’re getting the grand unveiling and MSI is starting off with 4 cards at once. We have the new GAMING, ARMOR, SeaHawk and Aero GTX 1080 variants.

First off we have the new GTX 1080 GAMING. This card features a red design with the new TWIN FROZR VI cooling solution. The cooler utilizes the new TORX Fan 2.0 for 22% more airflow. The 8 + 6pin PCIe power connectors and 12 phase power design ensure max overclocking. Of course, we have the industry standard RGB LED lighting and black backplate.

The ARMOR variant uses the older TWIN FROZR V design for its cooler and a black and white color scheme. The card features the original TORX fans as well as the Zero Frozr mode which turns off the fans when idle.

Next up, we have the now familiar SeaHawk with the Corsair Hydro Series closed loop liquid cooler. Finally, we have the black and silver blower type design in the Aero. It’ll be interesting to see how well the Aero does compared to the Founders Edition. All 4 cards feature the same 3 x DP, HDMI, and DVI-D display ports. What do you think of MSI’s lineup?
